Seema Jairath

Ever since her childhood she has been a spiritual person with a concern for the society. So, after an initial four and half year stint at The Indian Express, she decided to work for a social cause, joining the development sector which was a rather obvious choice. She had lost her father to a long battle with cancer; and thus, she joined Global Cancer Concern in 2000 with the urge to give back to the society. Life followed and the desire to reach out to larger societal groups and varied beneficiary communities gave her reasons to work with numerous NGOs from across the sectors such as childcare, sanitation, housing, livelihood, environment and health to name a few. Over her 17 years of working in the development sector
